Editorial Policy

How we approach research, reviews, corrections and reader trust.

Our editorial principles

Last updated: 4 June 2026

HobbyCraft Guide exists to help adults make confident, realistic choices about creative hobbies. Our editorial work is guided by usefulness, independence, clarity and respect for the reader's time and budget.

Research and writing

We aim to explain beginner decisions in plain English, distinguish essentials from optional extras and keep UK readers in mind. We use reliable sources where appropriate and avoid presenting personal preference as universal fact.

Product reviews

Reviews consider material quality, instructions, value, beginner suitability and usefulness beyond the included project. Commercial relationships do not determine our editorial conclusions.

Workshop information

Workshop content is intended to help readers know what to look for when choosing a provider. Dates, prices and availability should always be confirmed directly with the organiser.

Corrections and updates

We welcome factual corrections. When we become aware of a material error, we aim to review and correct it promptly. Content may be updated as products, guidance or circumstances change.

Reader feedback

Suggestions and questions help us identify where beginner information is unclear or missing. Readers can contact us at [email protected].
